Qualifications:

Education: An Associate's degree from an accredited college or university
OR
Experience: Five years of experience in administrative staff or professional work

Respondsibilties:
  • Act as the workforce development liaison and representative/active asset to MTBMA for all
    activities
  • Establish MTBMA as an approved apprenticeship program under DLLR requirements
  • Identify appropriate contacts to build the appropriate partnerships
  • Increase access to training through strategic workforce partnerships to help foster regional and
    statewide collaboration and share best practices
  • Be an advocate, to include building relationships with elected officials at all levels and outreach
    to businesses within the State
  • Meet and communicate effectively with state and federal programs and fiscal monitors to
    ensure adherence to policies, regulations, directives and recommendations
  • Create training courses based on industry need to include, but not limited to commercial truck
    driving, diesel technology, safety training, and more
  • Cultivate relationships with trade schools, building and construction schools, community
    colleges, state schools to raise awareness of the industry trades as a viable career option and
    promote MTBMA’s workforce training opportunities
  • To innovate solutions to strengthen program awareness, recruitment and retention
  • Attend career fairs and other relatable industry events
  • Create and facilitate a career days/industry partner tours
  • Research and apply for applicable grants to help fund workforce initiatives
  • Manage program budget
  • Utilize various media outlets to publicize the programs and its beneficiaries to include print,
    social media, video streaming, sponsor opportunities
  • Meet regular reporting requirements, maintain databases, and record keepingResearch 3rd party education software capabilities to help add as additional resources to
    MTBMA membership
