Mission Statement:
It is the mission of the MTBMA Safety Committee to identify and address health and safety related issues in the various fields of the committee members. The committee will review and recommend solutions which can be implemented. This committee will serve as a conduit for communication of safety information between the different organizations by:

  • Raising awareness of existing, unsafe actions
  • Seeking opportunities for improvement in the safety training programs provided by the MTBMA
  • Sharing  committee member best practices and safety management tools
  • Providing safety leadership which contributes to enhancing  committee members’ safety culture and awareness

Vision Statement:
The MTBMA Safety Committee will be a quality resource for both MTBMA members and the Maryland Construction Industry by providing superior services in the areas of safety training and education. The Safety Committee will help by providing the resources needed to accomplish these goals. This committee will set a bench mark for safety that can be emulated by others.

We want to hear from YOU!

The MTBMA Safety Committee is a quality resource for both MTBMA members and the Maryland transportation construction industry by providing superior services in the areas of safety training and education.

This coming year, MTBMA is considering hosting a few new training courses taught by member company safety experts. To begin this process, the Safety Committee is seeking member and non-member feedback. This survey lists our committee’s top ten trainings they see as most needed, but we want to hear from you to know what you would prefer to see offered. The results will help initiate a trial run of the 3 most popular courses, some of which may also have the option of being taught in Spanish.

We thank you in advance for your feedback. Questions or comments can be forwarded to Laurie Baquol.
