The Maryland Quality Initiative (MdQI) Industry Training and Recruitment Subcommittee is hosting the 13th Annual Career Day at Michael’s Eighth Avenue. We need enthusiastic professionals that can help engage approximately 400 STEM high school students to gain insight on the many different career paths in the transportation industry. Breakfast and lunch will be provided for all volunteers.

Volunteers for the indoor engineering workstations will demonstrate a hands-on activity in their discipline for 8-10 minutes at a time with small groups of students. 

Volunteers for the outdoor construction workstations will provide demonstrations for testing materials and construction equipment for 20 mins at a time for large groups of students.

Volunteers for the following Disciplines are still needed: Geotechnical, Environmental, Traffic, Project Planning, Structures, Hydrology and Construction (outdoor)
