Contractor Safety Committee

Mission Statement:

It is the mission of the MTBMA Contractors Safety Committee to identify and address health and safety related issues in the various fields of the committee members. The committee will review and recommend solutions which can be implemented. This committee will serve as a conduit for communication of safety information between the different organizations by:

  • Raising awareness of existing, unsafe actions
  • Seeking opportunities for improvement in the safety training programs provided by the MTBMA
  • Sharing  committee member best practices and safety management tools
  • Providing safety leadership which contributes to enhancing  committee members’ safety culture and awareness

Vision Statement:

The MTBMA Contractors Safety Committee will be a quality resource for both MTBMA members and the Maryland Construction Industry by providing superior services in the areas of safety training and education. The Safety Committee will help by providing the resources needed to accomplish these goals. This committee will set a bench mark for safety that can be emulated by others.
