MDOT is conducting a survey to consult with minority, women’s and general contractor groups, community organizations and officials regarding the availability of disadvantaged and non-disadvantaged businesses, the effects of discrimination on opportunities for DBEs, MDOT’s efforts to establish a level playing field for the participation of DBEs, and MDOT’s methodology for establishing overall DBE goals for the Maryland Aviation Administration, Maryland Transit Administration and State Highway Administration. There will also be a public meeting on August 28, 2009, 10:00 a.m. at MDOT Headquarters. The intent of this meeting is ONLY for attendees to give information and answer the questions outlined in the survey.
